Red Bluff (Mississippi's Little Grand Canyon) is a natural area of erosion located in Marion County, Mississippi near Morgantown and Foxworth. The name is referenced by the red clay deposits which forms a tall bluff that overlooks the Pearl River Valley where one could see a distance of 30 miles. Red Bluff rises to 400 feet from the canyon below and includes 3 miles of winding roadway Mississippi Highway 587 to the top.
The original highway was diverted to a new route due to erosion. Highway 587 is a popular motorcycle route that extends 30 miles from Monticello, MS to Foxworth, due to its many curves. Red Bluff receives thousands of visitors each year, many being their first time to the Bluff.
